Is my Medicaid coverage ending?

The best way to stay up to date on the status of your Medicaid case and receive all notices from the state is to create an account through YourTexasBenefits.com. To create an account, check out the What To Do Now page.

How to check case status on YTP app

The YourTexasBenefits app is a great way to receive alerts and check the status of your case.

  • The East Texas Food Bank released a video that shows how to check your case status on the app.

Month-to-month coverage

Once the state starts rechecking eligibility, you may get a notice about “month to month extensions.” This notice means the state has received your information and has extended your Medicaid for an additional month because they haven’t been able to process all your information yet. You may get one month extension or more depending on the backlog.

The notice you receive may look like the one below.
